Video & Promo Work

A current catalog of my favorite work I’ve produced over the years. It contains a wide variety of work including Event Recaps, Marketing Promos, Hyperlapses, Photoshoot Promos, and Music Videos.

The information found below each video details what I contributed to each piece of work.

(Filmed/Edited) - For this project, I filmed the entire event and was tasked with editing a high energy recap to promote future events. For this project, I created the music track before even beginning the edit for the video because I wanted the music to dictate the flow of the edit and cuts.

(Filmed/VFX/Edited) - This project was so fun because I got to be silly and do whatever I wanted with Biqtch’s green screen footage. I wanted to mimic the editing style of the ‘UNHhhh’ series from WOWpresents. I built foreground and background elements to place them in the scenes and added in SFX as well. Had such a great time with this one.

(Filmed/Edited) - This is a Docu-style video covering Dreamhack Dallas, it was such a fun event and I’m so glad I got the opportunity to film the whole experience with my drag mom BiqtchPuddin.

(Directed/Filmed/VFX/Edited) - This dance cover was put together in an hour. Using the materials I had on hand, I put together a quick set for the dancers and used the bicolor lighting to further emphasize their separation. I shot this freehand in order to capture the quick movements of the dancers as well.

(Photographed/Edited/SFX) - The video above is made up of over 1,000 photos that I took sequentially at an event my friends were hosting. The photos were compiled into a video format, giving it it’s distinct look and flow. I also added some visual fx and soundfx to further enhance it. This was just for fun, and I wanted to make everyone at the event feel like they were a part of a cool project.

(Edited/VFX/SFX) - BiqtchPuddin wanted to film a comedic short sketch that was a part of a larger project and asked me to edit the footage together and make it visually retro with the VHS tape effect. I also added in foley sfx for comedic value as well.

(Filmed/Edited) This video is made up of over a years worth of my footage from going into the community and working with local businesses and parades. The edit is quick and is made to show off the sheer amount of places we had been as a news station throughout our viewing area and to showcase the diversity and vibrancy of St. louis.

(Filmed/GFX/Edited) This was one of my first projects when I became a part of the morning show known as ‘Today In St. Louis’. They had a severely outdated show open, and I wanted to give them a refresh for the holiday and heading into the new year. We shot this in about 2 hours, and I had it cut and ready for air 2 days later.

(Filmed/Edited) - I shot and edited this promo (minus the drone footage) to showcase our weather coverage at KSDK. I wanted it to feel trailer-esque with the cinematic black bars and music along with the SFX I added in.

(Filmed/GFX/Edited) - This is a photoshoot teaser video that is one of my favorites. I filmed the entire video in my bathtub by laying a black cloth down under the water for the telephone shots. I produced the music in the video as well.

(Filmed/GFX/Edited) - I filmed and edited this open for “Show Me St. Louis” to showcase our love for St. Louis newest soccer team and their brand new stadium.

(GFX) - This may be a simple pride promo, but it means a lot to me. Our station had never aired an actual pride month promo before and being a queer person I was very honored to make this happen. Using the colors from the Progress Flag, among the other pride flags. I animated the lettering in a fun, but simple way. I will always be so proud that I fought for this and saw it through and made a little bit of history at the station in doing so.

(Directed/Filmed/Edited/Music) - This promo is another one that is special to me. The footage of the parade is just so happy and uplifting community footage. I also produced the music that you hear playing as well. It’s the first time one of my own songs ever made it on the air and I was so happy that I got to use it for such a wonderful event.

(Filmed/GFX/Edited) - Factory Chicago is a party that me and my friends regularly produce. For this project I filmed our event and wanted to create a very high energy and flashy social promo to gain attention and interest for future partys. I utilize several graphical elements and vfx within the video. I also put together the music/SFX.

(Filmed/GFX/Edited) - This video won me my second Mid-America Emmy. I filmed and edited all footage you see in this video as well as did the motion graphics for the opening text.

(Directed/Set Design/Filmed/VFX/Edited) - I built this set in my basement at the time. It was made out of foam insulation sheets and had a square mirror cut for the floor panel as well as a plexiglass square for the shots underneath of John. I digitally extended the set to create the long hallway effect.

(Photographed/Edited/SFX) This video is compiled of about 1,400 photos that are stitched together into a video format. I was asked by a creative collective in st. louis to get event coverage and this was how I chose to do it.

(Directed/Filmed/Edited) - I shot and directed this in downtown St. louis, all from within my car. I like working in smaller controlled spaces and the glowing, ambient lighting from the street was great atmosphere for the video. I also rigged up 3 led strip lights from within my car to light the subjects. This was all shot freehand and took about 2 hours. With almost no budget i’m very happy with how this video turned out.

(Photographed/Edited/SFX) - This was my first hyper-lapse. It’s made up of over 1,600 photos compiled into video format and was shot in downtown St. Louis. I added SFX to further emphasize movements and add an additional layer to the video.

(3D/VFX/GFX) - I was reached out to by a Dubstep music label to create a trailer for the upcoming album release. I came up with the idea of building a 3D model of earth on fire and having a spectrum analyzer of each song playing act as a halo around the globe.

(Edited) - Some friends of mine in LA were putting together a photoshoot to showcase their fashion in a thanksgiving inspired shoot. I was sent the footage to edit and color grade in a fun way.

(Filmed/Edited) - Me and John wanted to film a quick video for his newest cover of the song “What’s Poppin” we visited several iconic spots of downtown St. Louis at night and I was able to capture some really unique angles and colors from the different attractions and neon signage found all around the city.

(GFX/EDITED) - I put this promo together for a Digital Drag Show during covid that BiqtchPuddin was hosting and we wanted to give it a retro gaming treatment.

(Directed/Filmed/Edited) - This was one of the first music videos I ever made and while it may be simple, I still love it and think it’s effective in what we were trying to accomplish. Me and John were both tired of the traditional hip-hop video of flexing wealth and showing off. This song was all about mental health and I decided to film a one shot video with him on a plain white backdrop, surrounded by a few symbolic items. This was so that the message didn’t get lost in editing and to help the video feel more raw and real.
